Use this screen to review information that was entered in the federal 1099 Screen. Information that appears in the AR1099R Screen is automatically transferred from federal the 1099R Screen. It is important to report any state-related law differences and details in the 1099R Screen.

field to indicate that a claim was made under McFadden v. Weiss in a previous year, resulting in a change to the basis (cost of contributions) of the client’s retirement plan and, after the McFadden Adjustment, different amounts for Arkansas and federal tax purposes. Enter the Arkansas taxable amount, if different from what was reported on Form 1099R, in the
McFadden claimant taxable amount
field.
Taxable amount (Box 2a) / Txbl amt not determined (Box 2b)
Entries in these fields transfer from the federal 1099R Screen. Enter an amount in the
Taxable amount (Box 2a)
field or mark the
Txbl amt not determined (Box2b)
field to override the transferred information.

At least one of the two fields must contain data for UltraTax CS to calculate the taxable amount. If both fields are blank, UltraTax CS marks the
Txbl amt not determined (Box 2b)
field.
