Overview
Use this screen to complete Form 568, Limited Liability Company Return of Income, Side 1; Form 3536 (LLC Extension Payment); Form 3522, Limited Liability Company Tax Voucher; and Form 3536, Estimated Fees for LLCs.
Activity Information
This section displays the entity information for activities included in the Limited Liability Company. The
Activities included in LLC
statement dialog lists all federal activities included in the LLC. If no data is present in the statement dialog, the LLC is a state unit only and no federal data entry is transferred to the LLC.Extension
Use this section to calculate and print the extension voucher and extend the due date of the return. Form 3536 is a payment voucher only and, per state instruction, will not print when the amount due is either zero or blank. Form 3536 is a scannable form and handwritten amounts due are not acceptable. The balance due must be printed on the form from UltraTax CS.

If an extension is printed by choosing File and then Print Extensions, or an entry is made in the
Calculate extension
field, the extended due date automatically appears in this field. Otherwise, the date manually entered in this field is used as the extended due date in the filing instructions and when calculating late filing penalties.Extension payment actually made; reportable on Form 568
Each time you print the extension (via the File and then Print Extensions), UltraTax CS does the following:
- calculates the extension payment amount and enters the amount in this field, and
- prints this amount on Form 568, not on the extension.
Alternatively, you can overrule the calculated amount by entering the amount actually paid with the current-year extension in this field. UltraTax CS then displays the new amount in black.

- To delete the overruled amount and restore the original calculated amount, right-click the field and choose Delete overrule.
- To confirm the accuracy of the overruled amount, right-click the field and choose Acknowledge overruled data. UltraTax CS then disables the acknowledge functionality from the right-click menu. To restore the original amount later, you will need to manually enter the amount.
- If desired, you can set a user preference to mark fields for which you overruled the calculated amounts and to list all overruled amounts in the Diagnostics window.
Balance due on extension (Force)
If you enter an amount in this field, UltraTax CS calculates the amount of total tax using the estimated payments and withholding entered, marks the
Calculate extension
field, completes the Extended due date
field, and transfers the amount to the Extension payment actually made; reportable on Form 568

Use the statement dialog in this section to enter information for calculating Use tax to report on Form 568.
Payments for Current Year
Use this section to enter payments made toward the current-year () LLC tax and fees.
Withholding from Form 592-B or Form 593:
Enter withholding from Form 592-B or Form 593 directly on CA592B Screen and CA593 Screen, respectively. To report the withholding on Form 568, enter the LLC unit number
on each of the applicable screens.Amount of overpayment applied to tax
The prior-year overpayment applied to current-year () tax proformas to this field. UltraTax CS proformas the first $800 of prior year overpayment (less any amount already designated to be paid via Form 3522 or electronic funds withdrawal) to current year () tax before applying the remainder to current year () fee.

Original return:
Enter the payment amount and the date of the payment. The amount paid is included as an LLC fee payment on the LLC return. When the date paid is after the original due date, the amount is not included as a payment in the calculation of an extension. The payment reduces the balance due for late interest and penalty calculations as of the date paid.Amended return:
Include the amount paid with the original return or the amount refunded (as a negative amount) with the original return (along with additional payment, if any). The amount entered here is included on Form 568.Next Year's Tax and Estimated Fee
Use this section to calculate next year's () LLC tax payment and estimated fee.

Enter the amount of current year () overpayment to apply to next year's () tax. Do not enter an amount greater than $.9.
Suppress printing of Form 3522 (for tax) with return
When the Extension utility is used, UltraTax CS prints Form 3522 and the related filing instructions with the extension and enters

in this field. You may also mark this field manually. When this field is marked, Form 3522 does not print with the main return. Clear the data entry in this field to print Form 3522 with the main return prior to 4/15/20. After 4/15/20, mark the Print Form 3522 after 4/15/20 due date
