Overview

Use this screen to complete Georgia extension forms.

Extension Information

Use this section to indicate which extension forms are required and the amount paid.
Calculate extension

 if this is a federal extension and you need a voucher, or Enter
2
 to calculate a first 6-month extension using Form IT-303.

Preparer Information

Use these fields to have the preparer's information used in place of the taxpayer's information on Form IT-303 Application for Extension of Time for Filing State Income Tax Returns and/or Form IT 560 Individual and Fiduciary Payment Voucher. Global options are available to set each of the four items to print automatically on all clients under Setup, then 1040 Individual, then Georgia, then Other Return Options. A client opened after the Global setting are made will automatically select the checkboxes you choose. If an individual client doesn't want to have the preparer's information used, clear the checkbox on that client to replace the Global setting. When Global settings aren't used, select each client individually .
  • Authorized signing agent for Form IT-303 - Using this option prints the preparer's name in the
    Signature
     field and the firm's name in the field beneath it.
  • Mailing address on Form IT 303 - Using the preparer's address and the taxpayer's if different section will complete.
  • Signature for payment voucher IT 560 - Using this print's the preparer's name in the signature field on the payment voucher and prints the title of the preparer from the setup option. You can replace the voucher title if you need to due to limited space on the voucher.
  • Phone number and current date on Form IT-560 - Using this prints the preparer's phone number and the computer system date on the printed voucher.
You may select any combination of these settings.
Additional payment
Enter the payment amount and the payment date. This information is used for calculating late filing payment penalties and interest, if applicable.
