UltraTax CS uses information entered in this section to calculate the current-year net operating loss on Form 500-NOL, Page 2. Amounts are calculated using data entry in federal input screen and forms.
Nonbusiness capital loss before limitation
Use this field to force the Nonbusiness capital losses before limitation on Form 500-NOL, Page 2. Enter a positive amount.

Nonbusiness capital gain without regard to a Section 1202 exclusion
Use this field to force the Total nonbusiness capital gains (without regard to any I.R.C. section 1202 exclusion) on Form 500-NOL, Page 2. Enter a positive amount. Calculated amounts are transferred from the federal B&D, K1, and K1T screens.

Nonbusiness retirement exclusion
An amount entered in this field replaces the calculated portion of unearned section of the Retirement Income Exclusion Worksheet that is included in Form 500-NOL, Page 2, line 21.
Business capital loss
Use this field to force Business capital losses before limitation on Form 500-NOL, Page 2. Enter a positive amount. Calculated amounts that are coded as business transfer from the federal B&D, K1, and K1T screens. Enter business capital loss carryover on the federal NOL-2 screen.
Business capital gain
Use this field to force the Business capital gains (without regard to I.R.C. Section 1202 exclusion) on Form 500-NOL, Page 2. An entry is this field will replace the calculated amount from the federal B&D, K1, and K1T screens.
Section 1202 exclusion
Use this field to force the I.R.C. Section 1202 exclusion (50 percent or 60 percent exclusion for gain from certain small business stock) on Form 500-NOL, Page 2. Enter a positive amount. Calculated amounts transfer from the federal B&D, K1, and K1T screens.
Adjustment to adjusted gross income for carryforward calculation / Adjustment to itemized deductions for carryforward calculation
Use this field to enter adjustments not accounted for in other fields to calculate the Georgia NOL Carryforward Utilization Worksheet.
Adjustments
Amounts entered in this section will replace the amounts transferred from Form 500 to complete Form 500-NOL.
State adjustments
Use this field to replace the Form 500, Schedule 1 adjustments to Georgia income. The amounts you enter are used as adjustments to adjusted gross income on Form 500-NOL.
Retirement Exclusion
Use this section to modify the retirement exclusion amounts used in calculation of the current year net operating loss.
Non-business income included in other earned income
The UltraTaxCS Georgia system considers interest, dividends, non-business capital gain/loss, alimony, IRA and pension income as non-business income for prorating the retirement exclusion. If there's a portion of the other income used in the retirement exclusion, enter it in these fields.
