Overview

Use this screen to enter information from the Property Tax Statement. This information is used in conjunction with information entered in the MNPR screen to calculate Form M1PR as a homeowner. Don't include a copy of this document as an attachment to a paper filed return; the state receives the source document directly from the county.
Mark the
Create electronic file for Form M1PR
checkbox on the MNELF screen to create an electronic return. Fields indicated as required for electronic filing must be entered, if applicable, to create an electronic return.

Property Tax Statement

Property tax statement, line 2
Enter the amounts from the property tax statement if not proforma’d or the proforma’d amount does not match the property tax statement. UltraTax/1040-MN uses line 2, or if blank, line 5 to calculate the Special Refund. For electronic filing purposes, this data entry must match the property tax statement. When the county has corrected the amount or it is not on the property tax statement, use the
Prior year property tax (Force)
field in the MNPR screen to enter the correct amount for the Special Refund calculation.
New improvements / expired exclusions
The amount entered here is used to calculate Worksheet 3 for the Special Refund when the
Special refund qualification applies
field is marked on the MNPR screen.
Property ID or parcel number
Use this field to enter your Property ID or Parcel Number (do not use special characters or spaces).
