The North Carolina Board of Revenue supports filing an application for extension via electronic filing.
Generate an extension payment
You can use the
NCExt
screen to generate an extension application. UltraTax CS may be filed with or without an amount paid.Conditions to generate electronic record and filing instructions
To generate the electronic record for extension application and the related filing instructions, all of the following conditions need to be met before generating the extension payment in

The federal 1040 screen:
- EnterDaytime telephone.

screen:- Clear theSuppress North Carolina e-filefield.
The NCBank screen:
- Mark theEnable electronic funds withdrawal for extension paymentfield.
In addition to the preceding conditions, bank information is required to create the electronic record for electronic funds withdrawal of the extension payment. The following fields are required for data entry:
