Use this screen to complete Form IT RC, Ohio Resident Credit Calculation.

Other State Income and Tax

Use this section to complete Form IT RC, Ohio Resident Credit Calculation. If you're processing a multiple-state return, process the nonresident state(s) first, followed by the resident state. UltraTax/1040-OH transfers information from the nonresident return(s) to your resident return as necessary to complete the credit for taxes paid to other states. The resident tax credit doesn't apply to Ohio residents who have equity investments in pass-through entities that are subject to other states' income or non-income taxes; if affected, force a different amount of

If the nonresident return is prepared through UltraTax CS, it automatically completes

return. If not prepared using UltraTax CS, enter the state postal code, and UltraTax/1040-OH automatically completes

Portion of Ohio adjusted gross income subject to other states' tax
Reciprocal nonresident states that have been processed using UltraTax CS may have a calculated amount that has been adjusted to exclude wages. The resulting calculated tax amount is adjusted accordingly.

If the nonresident return is prepared through UltraTax CS, it automatically completes

for the
resident
state return, otherwise, use the
Force
column. Reciprocal nonresident states processed using UltraTax CS may have a calculated amount that has been adjusted, eliminating the portion of tax related to wages.
