Overview

Use this screen to calculate the Form SD 100, Ohio School District return Estimates. If information transferred from UltraTax/1040 doesn't require additional data or coding, UltraTax/IT 1040 shows it on the form only, not in the input screen. The estimate form (OUPC) is a multiple unit form.

To have UltraTax CS calculate next year's estimated tax liability and required payments, enter

Application of overpayment
The code options are the same as those in UltraTax/1040. They instruct UltraTax CS how to apply any current-year overpayment. Your decision affects what's printed on Page 2 of the return and the calculation of next year's estimated tax payments.

Number of vouchers desired
The number of estimate vouchers defaults to

. Enter a code to specify fewer than four vouchers. The overpayment and amounts already paid toward next year's estimates apply to each voucher based on the overpayment code and the quarter in which the amounts were paid.
Amount to round up each estimate
This field lets you enter rounding specifications for the estimated payments. The payments can be rounded up to the nearest factor indicated. For example, to round up each estimated payment to the nearest $10, enter

. If this field is blank, UltraTax CS automatically rounds each estimated payment up to the next dollar.
Treat 4th quarter estimate as due on 12/31/
Use this field to indicate in the filing instructions that the fourth quarter estimate is due by 12/31. A global default is available for all new clients for all state returns. Go to
Setup

, then
Federal
tab, select
New Client Options
, and mark the
Treat the 4th quarter state estimate as due on December 31st
checkbox.
School district number (Force)
Enter a district number for which you're preparing estimated tax vouchers (without a school district return). Also, enter next year's tax rate in
Estimated tax rate (Force)
. The current year liability is zero when the school district selected in the
OHSD
screen is 9999.

Estimates filed for a taxing district other than the current school district return can't be electronically filed.
Estimated tax rate (Force)
Use this field when the school district tax rate for next year differs from the current year rate. Enter the tax rate with four decimal positions; for example, a rate of one-and-three-quarters percent is entered 0.0175.
