General Information

Use this section to complete portions of Form 511-NR. UltraTax CS automatically calculates the Oklahoma portion of income and adjustment amounts from entries in the federal screens, based on the designated state postal code.
Part year residency dates
Filing other than MFS or MFJ
Enter the dates for the period the taxpayer was an Oklahoma resident.
Resident with part-year spouse (MFS, MFJ)
Enter the dates for the period the spouse was an Oklahoma resident.
Resident with nonresident spouse or part-year spouse
Enter the resident state for the taxpayer and for the spouse regardless of married filing status (MFS/MFJ). Select

to select from a dropdown list of states.
Nonresident’s resident state / country
If you complete Form 511-NR for a nonresident, enter the taxpayer’s resident state. Select

Nonresident military

Additions

Excludable lump sum distributions
UltraTax CS automatically adds to Oklahoma taxable income all lump sum distributions not included in federal AGI, unless they rolled over. Use this field to enter the amount of lump sum distributions that shouldn't be added back to Oklahoma taxable income.
Federal net operating loss (Force)
Use this field to force the amount of federal net operating loss included on Schedule 511NR-A. UltraTax CS automatically transfers the amount of federal net operating loss from the U.S. tax return.

If you're using the UltraTax/Oil & Gas module, and enter force amounts in these fields, amounts transferred from the UltraTax/Oil & Gas module in UltraTax/1040 are overridden and the depletion report doesn't print.

Use the statement windows to enter miscellaneous subtractions from Oklahoma and federal income. Amounts entered here print in a statement along with the depletion adjustment.
