Return Information

Use "as if" federal return
Mark this field if the Oregon return was completed using information from a federal return that was not filed with the IRS, for example, the return of a registered domestic partner.
Form 24 filed (Force)
UltraTax CS marks the Form 24 filed field on Form 40P or Form 40N if the federal Form 8824, Like-Kind Exchange, is filed with a deferred gain on the exchanged property. Use this field to force a different choice. Form 24, Oregon Like-Kind Exchanges / Involuntary Conversions, is available in UltraTax/1040-OR as a noncalculating form.
Severely disabled
Use this field to indicate that the taxpayer and/or spouse is severely disabled. This information is used to calculate an additional exemption for the qualified person.
Standard or itemized deduction (Force)
UltraTax CS optimizes between the standard and itemized deductions. Use this field to force a particular option.
Special processing instructions
Choose a code to indicate special processing. Due to limitations of the bar code and electronic records, only one code may be chosen even if more than one applies to the taxpayer. These codes do not affect the calculation of the return, but are used in the 2D bar code and electronic record.
Tax ID number used on previously filed Oregon return
If the last filed Oregon return was filed using a different taxpayer identification number, enter that number here. The number is included on the last page of the return in the amended section per state instruction.
General footnote
Entries in this statement dialog proforma from the prior year. The general footnote is included in electronically filed returns. It appears as a separate item in each collation and may be printed and attached to paper filed returns for informational purposes.

Contributions

Use this section to enter contributions the taxpayer would like to donate to various funds. These amounts can only reduce overpayments. If there is an amount due with the return, UltraTax CS ignores any amount entered in these fields.
Political party contribution
If the taxpayer or spouse would like to donate $3 to a political party, use these fields to enter the code for the corresponding political party.
