Overview

Use this screen to complete the Oregon Other State Tax Credit Worksheet. If UltraTax CS is used to calculate another state’s return and it generates a credit for taxes paid to another state, UltraTax/1040-OR automatically includes copy of that return. When filing on paper, a paper copy prints. When filing electronically, a portable document format (PDF) of the nonresident return is attached.

State and Income Information

When processing a multiple-state return, process the nonresident state(s) first, followed by the resident state. UltraTax/1040-OR transfers information from the nonresident return(s) to the resident return to complete the credit for taxes paid to other states.
When processing an Oregon return along with Arizona, California, Indiana, or Virginia, UltraTax/1040-OR transfers information from the resident return to the nonresident return to complete the credit for taxes paid to other states. This is in accordance with the reciprocity agreement of Arizona, California, Indiana, Oregon, and Virginia. Amounts do not automatically transfer from other state returns when doing a registered domestic partner return.

When processing multiple state returns, UltraTax/1040-OR automatically completes the
