E-file forms
The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue supports electronic filing of the following forms:
- Form PA-40 and Form PA-40X (for tax years 2012 and later)
- Form PA-40ES (Estimates) and Form Rev-276 (Extension)
- Philadelphia Net Profits Tax (NPT)
- Philadelphia Business Income and Receipts Tax (BIRT)
- Philadelphia School Income Tax (SIT)
The Pennsylvania Department of Revenue doesn't support the following forms for electronic filing for 3rd party vendors (tax software vendors):
- Form PA-1000 (Property tax or rent rebate claim)
- Local earned income tax (EIT) return
- Philadelphia Employee Earnings tax

- All Philadelphia returns don't support electronic PDF attachments.
- You can file multiple units of Philadelphia Forms NPT, BIRT, and SIT electronically.
