General Information

W-2 wage information
The wage information is transferred from the federal W2 screen. Only those amounts that are coded
PA
and don't have
10
entered in the
State use
field are used in the PAH screen. UltraTax CS uses this information to complete either line 9 or line 17 of Schedule NRH.
Employer misreported or failed to report Pennsylvania gross earnings on the W-2
For a part-year resident or nonresident return, when one of the apportionment methods contain data, Form PA-40 Schedule NRH, Section C is completed when this field is marked. If this field is blank, UltraTax CS completes Section E, line 17.
When this field is marked, an entry is required in the Apportionment Methods section of this screen. Either the
Working Day Basis
or the
Business Volume Basis
fields must be completed.
Reason for apportionment if W-2 is incorrect
Use this field to attach a statement to the return specifying a reason for apportionment if the W-2 amount isn't correct.
Apportioned reimbursements not included in W-2 (Force)
Use this field to enter business expense reimbursements not reported by the employer on Form W-2. UltraTax CS uses this information to complete the part-year resident or nonresident Form PA-40 Schedule NRH, Section E, line 19.

Apportionment Methods

Working Day Basis
Use these fields to enter days to apportion income from Form W-2. If the
Total number of days in tax year
field is blank, UltraTax CS defaults to the number of days in the calendar year (365 or 366 for a leap year). The
Number of days worked in Pennsylvania
field is required in order to apportion by days worked.
Business Volume Basis
Use these fields to enter dollar volume to apportion income from Form W-2. Both fields are required in order to apportion by business volume.
