Use this screen to complete Form NPT, Philadelphia Net Profits Tax Return, and the Philadelphia Estimated Payment Coupons. If data transferred from UltraTax/1040 doesn't require additional data or coding, UltraTax/1040-PA Cities shows it on the form only, not in the screen. UltraTax CS uses this information to complete Form NPT and Worksheet E.
Overpayment Application
Application of Form NPT overpayment
The code options available in this field allow for a total refund or application of the overpayment to other returns. They instruct UltraTax CS how to apply any current-year overpayment. The option selected affects what prints on Page 1 of the return and the calculation of next year’s estimated tax payments.
Amount to apply to Form BIRT
Enter the amount of overpayment that applies to the current-year BIRT return. This amount transfers automatically to the BIRT return.
Amount to apply to Form NPT
Enter the amount of overpayment that applies to next year’s NPT return.
