Enter a telephone number on Form TC-40

Utah requires a telephone number on Form TC-40, Page 1, Telephone number field.

If the telephone number field is missing, UltraTax will give you the following schema errors:

Missing data in tag FormTC40 > IndGeneral Information > PhoneNumber

One of the following fields must have data

FormTC40 > IndReturnHeader > PhoneNumber > USPhone

FormTC40 > IndReturnHeader > PhoneNumber > ForeignPhone

Follow these steps to resolve the errors related to the missing telephone number on Form TC-40 in UltraTax.

Enable telephone number display

Go to

Setup
1040 Individual
Federal
Other Return Options

.

Select the Return Presentation
tab.

Mark the Non-signature blocks
checkbox in the Other section.

Enter the telephone number
:

Go to the following data entry area:

US
General
1040
Taxpayer/Spouse Information

.

Enter a phone number in the Daytime telephone/ext number
field. You can also enter a phone number in the Home/evening telephone number
field.

Make sure to enter the complete phone number and use the correct format.
