F1041-018-01 e-file error
Form 1041, Line 3 'NetProfitOrLossAmt' has a non-zero value, then Schedule C must be attached.
This happens when Form 1041, line 3 has a value and is missing a Schedule C.
Solution
You can find the exact net profit or loss value in the parenthesis of your error message. You'll need to find this value in the return:
- Go to Form View
- Open Form 1041, Page 1.
- If line 3 is overridden, right-click on the overridden value and chooseDelete Override.
- If the line is not overridden, switch to Input View.
- Open the Business input folder.
- If you have multiple units for Schedule C, make sure one of them is labeled as unit 1 in the upper-right corner of the C screen.
