At least one of 'Signature Option Code, Practitioner PIN Group' is required e-file error
Return Type Code: At least one of 'Signature Option Code, Practitioner PIN Group' is required. (/Return/ReturnHeader/ReturnTypeCd)
This happens when the PIN or signature information is incomplete in the electronic file.
Solution
Go to the ELF screen in the Electronic Filing folder and complete the following fields.
- Signature Date
- Taxpayer PIN
- Electronic return originator (ERO) PIN
After the signature and PIN information is complete, recreate and transmit the return.
