Send a beneficiary K-1 package by email
To email the beneficiary's Schedule K-1 package directly to the beneficiary, complete the following steps.
- SelectSetup, thenOffice Configuration.
- Select theFileCabinet CStab.
- Verify that thePrint K1 packages to separate folder in FileCabinet CScheckbox is marked.note
- The checkbox is marked by default.
- It isn't available for GoFileRoom.
- If you're not licensed for FileCabinet CS, this checkbox is available in FileDrawer.
- SelectDone.
- SelectFile, thenOpen Clientto open the beneficiary client's return.
- SelectFile, thenPrint Returns.
- Mark thePreparer copycheckbox, then the correspondingFileCabinet CScheckbox.
- SelectTo Cabinetto send the client's return and K-1 packages to FileCabinet CS.
- SelectOK.
- SelectFile, thenEmail Schedule K-1 Packages.
- Enter the beneficiary's email address.You only need to enter the email address if you've not already entered it by going toView,Beneficiary Information, then theBeneficiarytab.
- You can choose to do the following in theEmail K1 Packageswindow:
- Change the subject and text of the email greeting.noteYou don't need to enter the K-1 recipient name in the email greeting. The application uses theSalutationfromK-1 recipient namein the General folder of the1041screen.
- Select a recipient for a blind copy of the email message sent to the beneficiary.
- Change the document name or choose a differentPassword.
- SelectOKto send the email message with the beneficiary K-1 package.
