Enter data for substitute broker statements
Follow these steps to enter data and create the substitute broker statement.
- Go to theIncomescreen in theIncomefolder and select the statement window button for theCapital gain / lossfield.
- EnterSee attachedalong with any necessary descriptive information in theDescriptionfield.
- Enter the total amounts of capital gains and losses.noteEnter separate summary statement items for short-term transactions and for long-term transactions. Enter codes1(short-term),2(long-term), or3(28% rate) in the Force column to indicate the holding period.
