Mark Form IT-205, page 2 residency checkbox
To mark the residency status on Form IT-205, Schedule C, enter the following information:
- Go to the NYGen screen.
- For New York State residency, enter the number of months in theMonths of Residency in: New York Statefield.
- For full-year residents, enter12.
- For part-year residents, enter any number from1-12.
- For full year nonresidents, leave this field blank.
- For New York City and Yonkers residency, enter the number of months in theMonths of Residency in: City of New York or City of Yonkersfield.
- For full-year residents, enter12.
- For part-year residents, enter any number from1-12.
- For full year nonresidents, leave this field blank. This only applies to the City of Yonkers as there is no checkbox for Full year nonresident for NYC.
