Payments and Credits

Paid with extension, for Form IT-1041
When you prepare an extension, the payment amount calculates and displays on the extension voucher, in the field, and on the return. Alternatively, you can enter the actual amount paid with the current-year extension to overrule the calculated amount that displays on the return.
Retirement benefits received eligible for retirement income credit
The maximum credit allowed is $200.
Eligible for senior credit
Mark if the decedent is 65 or over. The senior citizen’s credit is $50.
Lump sum distribution credit
Enter the lump sum distribution credit to calculate the estate credit. The credit limit is $1000, the maximum credit allowed.

, the extension penalty will not calculate, but the return will still be subject to late filing interest on the 10 percent not paid.
