Electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments
If you file a return or extension electronically, EFT is the default payment method and no further action is needed.
If you paper file a return or extension, use the
EFT options used in filing instructions: Return filing instructions / Extension filing instructions
fields on the Letter screen in the General folder to select to pay by a method of EFT.note
An FYI diagnostic will trigger indicating how the balance due should or will be paid.
