You can file an amended 1065 return electronically. The IRS supports the current year and 2 prior tax years for regular, superseded, or amended electronic returns. Therefore, starting January

Form 1065X isn't included in the electronic file and you shouldn't attach it as a PDF. Instead, enter the reasons the return is amended in the 1065 screen and complete Form 8082, as required, in the Non Calculating folder. See IRS Publication 4163, Part III for more information about electronically filing an amended partnership return.
