Use the Michigan city tabs in the
Partner Information
 window in
Partner Data Entry
 to enter city-specific information for partners. Michigan city tabs appear only if you'veadded Michigan cities to the return.
To update a partner's city information, select that partner in the
Partner Information
 window, then select the Michigan city tab.

Fields and buttons

Resident of Detroit
Mark this checkbox if the partner is a resident of Detroit.
Part Year Resident
Enter the period of time the partner was a resident of Detroit during the current year in the
From
 and
To
 fields provided.
note
  • Part-year residency status applies only to individual partners.
  • If either of these fields is blank, UltraTax CS assumes the partner was a full-year resident or full-year nonresident of Detroit, depending on whether the
    Resident of Detroit
     checkbox is marked.
Days worked in Detroit / Days worked everywhere
Enter the days worked in Detroit and the total number of days worked everywhere for nonresident and part-year nonresident partners.
note
For part-year nonresidents, enter the number of days worked in Detroit and the total number of days worked everywhere only for the period of non-residency.
Subject to tax
Mark this checkbox to calculate tax for exempt organization partners.
Number of exemptions (Individuals if different than 1)
Enter the number of personal exemptions if other than 1 for individual partners to be included on Schedule G and Tax Due Schedule calculations.
