to suppress the Maryland return and extension electronic file when filing the federal return electronically. This feature is also found in the federal ELF screen. If used in the federal screen, and if there are multiple states attached that accept electronic returns, UltraTax CS does not create any electronic state files. This feature is also a global federal setting for new clients, available in the New Client. Choose Setup, 1065 Partnership, then Federal tab and select the New Client Options button.Suppress Maryland use of Federal PIN
If a federal PIN is entered in the federal ELF screen, UltraTax CS defaults to using the federal PIN as the signature method of the Maryland electronic file. If this field is marked, the Maryland electronic file does not use the federal PIN and the EL101B must be signed and attached to the electronic file as a PDF attachment.
Signature date of partner signing return
Enter the date Form EL101B is signed by the partnership representative. If this field is blank, UltraTax CS uses the signature date of partner signing the return in the federal ELF screen for Form EL101B and as the date signed in the Maryland electronic file. Enter a date in this field if the federal return is not being filed electronically or the Maryland signature date is different than the federal.
