Business rules and resolutions

Review the following table to learn how to address specific Massachusetts electronic filing business rules. There may be more than one reason that a specific business rule generates.

Description of Business Rule X0000-001:
The e-file contains one or more statement descriptions without an associated amount.
Resolution:
Review data entry for all statement windows within UltraTax CS for the state of Massachusetts and remove any line item with a description only.

Resolution:
Verify the firm's EIN is entered under
Setup

as it is required. If the firm doesn't have an EIN, the preparer that is selected within

Resolution:
To indicate composite members, select
