If Part 3 Section B is present, Part 3 Line 13 must be equal to Part 3 Line 11 multiplied by Part 3 Line 12. (value 123-45-6789 ruleNCD403-1330)
Line 13 of Form D-403 is incorrect.
Solution
Follow the steps here to resolve the error:
- Check which partner is affected by reviewing the rejection message. The partner SSN will be listed by the rule number.
- Go toForm Viewfor North Carolina and selectD-403.
- Open thePartners’ Share of Income, Adjustments Worksheet.
- Determine if the amount should be rounded up or down to the nearest dollar. For each partner that received the rejection, multiply Line 11 by Line 12 and round up or down accordingly.
- Enter the amount calculated in Step 4 onLine 13of Form D-403 for each affected partner.
- Still in Form View for North Carolina, open thePtrform.
- Select the affected partner(s) and openSchedule K-1for them.
- Enter the same amount from Step 4 onLine 6of the Schedule K-1 for each partner in the error.
