Adjustments for Differences in Depreciation

Adjustment for bonus depreciation difference
The application automatically calculates the amount based on data entered in the detailed asset data entry. Use the
Force
field to enter the amount of bonus depreciation adjustment if you are not using the detailed asset data entry. If you enter an amount in this field, then any calculated amount from detailed asset data entry is ignored. This amount appears on Form RI-1065, Page 2, Schedule C, line 1b, or Schedule B, line 1b.
Adjustment for section 179 difference of current year assets
The application automatically calculates the amount based on data entered in the detailed asset data entry. Use the
Force
field to enter the amount of federal section 179 expense allowed if you are not using the detailed asset data entry. If you enter an amount in this field, then any calculated amount from detailed asset data entry is ignored. This amount appears on Form RI-1065, Page 2, Schedule C, line 1b, or, Schedule B, line 1b.
Adjustment to income for disposition of assets
The application automatically calculates the amount based on data entered in the detailed asset data entry. Use the
Force
field to enter the adjustment if you are not using the detailed asset data entry.
note
The adjustment amount is the difference between the total depreciation in the Tax column and RI column in the detailed asset data entry for any assets disposed of during the current year. This amount appears on Form RI-1065, Page 2, Schedule C, line 1b, or Schedule B, line 1b.

Carryover from prior years
The application automatically calculates the business income limitation based on amounts used on federal Form 4562. Use the

field to enter the business income limitation when different from the federal amount.
