Preparing a combined return: 1065 Texas (TX)

To prepare a combined return, the reporting entity needs to mark
Reporting entity of unitary group
on the
Texas
tab of
Client Properties
. This causes the
Unitary
folder to display in the input screen view.
The TXAdjA and TXAffil screens are multi-unit screens that will be used by each entity. The first unit will always contain data for the reporting entity. Data for the first unit only, the reporting entity, will transfer from UltraTax CS. Data should be entered on the first unit only if it's  different from federal data.
For subsequent units, you'll need to enter each affiliate's EIN in a separate unit to data share the information. In order to data share information, each affiliate entity must enter the reporting entity's EIN on the Texas tab of Client Properties. If you are not using the data sharing feature, you may enter data directly on the input screen. UltraTax CS automatically combines the data from all units and displays the combined data on the form only and not on the input screen.
