F7004-009-03 e-file error
The "Requested Payment Date" (in the "IRS Payment" [IRSPayment]) must be on or before the due date of the return to which the extension applies as specified in the Form 7004 Date Charts in Publication 4164 but not more than 5 days prior to the received date. (value YYYY-MM-DD, rule 7004-009-03).
This error happens when the requested payment date is incorrect.
Solution
- Go to theElectronic Filing inputfolder.
- Open theELFscreen.
- In theRequested payment datefield, enter a date that is on or up to five days before the due date of the return.
- Recreate and retransmit the return.
