1120 E-file errors

R0000-029 e-file error

If the Signature Option "PIN Number" is selected (the element "SignatureOption" in the Return Header has a value of "PIN Number") then the following fields must have a value in the Return Header: PractitionerPIN, TaxpayerPIN, "Name" of the "Officer", "Title" of the "Officer", "DateSigned" and "PINEnteredBy" Indicator. (rule R0000-029).
This error happens when there's missing data entry in the return regarding the PIN signature for e-filing.

Solution

  1. Go to the
    General
     input folder.
  2. Open the
    Contact
     screen.
  3. Complete the following fields for the
    Officer or other authorized signer:
    1. First name
    2. Last name
    3. Title
  4. Go to the
    Electronic Filing
     input folder.
  5. Open the
    ELF
     screen.
  6. Complete the following fields:
    1. Signature date
    2. Taxpayer PIN of five numbers other than all zeroes
    3. ERO PIN of five numbers other than all zeroes
  7. Recreate and retransmit the efile.
