Import apportionment information from Excel
Use the Excel Import tool to import apportionment information quickly and efficiently from a Microsoft Excel workbook to the UltraTax CS/1120 Apportionment Information window.
Before you can import apportionment information from Excel, you need to begin with an Excel spreadsheet that was previously exported from UltraTax CS.
- Save the Excel workbook before importing the spreadsheet into UltraTax CS. This ensures that all recent changes are imported.
- Open the UltraTax CS client.
- SelectUtilities, then1120 Excel Import.
- Enter the path to the Excel file location in theLook infield.
- Enter the Excel file name in theFile namefield. The default file name is the same as the client ID.
- SelectApportionment Datain the Information group section.
- SelectImport.noteIf any errors happen during the import process, theApportionment Import Error Messageswindow will list the errors encountered. After reviewing the error messages, selectDone, correct the errors, then re-import the file. SelectPrintin this window to print a list of errors that happened.
