Remove companies from an existing C or S Corporation consolidated return
Follow these steps to remove companies from an existing consolidated return.

Don't remove the parent company from a consolidated return. Instead, delete the consolidated return and create a new one. Also, don't rename the parent company with a new client ID once you select the company as a parent of a consolidated return.
- SelectFile, thenClient Properties.
- SelectAdvanced Properties.
- Select theGrouptab.
- To remove the eliminations company from the consolidated return, select the company name in the Group members list, thenRemove.
- To remove a subsidiary company from the consolidated return, select the company name in the Group members list, thenRemove.
- SelectOKto close the Advanced Properties window.
- SelectOKagain to close the Client Properties window.You should receive a message indicating that the consolidated return will reinitialize and recalculate the return without that member of the consolidated group.
