Data share beginning-of-year basis and prior-year suspended losses

Do the following to data share 1120S beginning-of-year basis and prior-year suspended losses:
  1. Open the 1120S client.
  2. Select
    View
    , then
    Shareholder Information
    .
  3. On the
    Other Info
     tab, select
    Shareholder Basis
    .
  4. On the
    Suspended Losses
     tab, mark the
    Data share beg basis and prior suspended losses
     checkbox.
note
  • Only mark the
    Data share beg basis and prior suspended losses
     field on the 1st year the basis information is data sharing to the 1040 client. After the 1st year this information is data shared, the beginning-of-year basis and prior-year suspended losses will proforma in the 1040 client and should no longer data share from the 1120 client.
  • If you want to data share for all shareholders (instead of individual shareholders), enter
    X
     in the
    Datashare beginning basis and prior suspended losses for all shareholders
     field in the
    1120
     screen, located under the
    General
     folder.
