Solution

In UltraTax CS, select
Edit
, then
Electronic Filing Attachment
.
Select
Add
.
In the
Attachment title
dropdown, select the specific title of the document from the list of attachments that the taxing authorities need for electronically filed returns. If the attachment isn't in the dropdown, enter the name of the attachment in this field.
Select
Federal
from the dropdown in the
Product
field.
Select the form related to the location of the attachment from the dropdown in the
Return
field. If the specific form isn't listed in the dropdown, select
Tax Return
.
If you scanned the document into FileCabinet CS, select the
FileCabinet CS
option, then
Select
to select the document. If the document wasn't scanned into FileCabinet CS, select the
File
option then
Browse
to go to the location of the document you want to attach.

If the file isn't saved as a PDF file, the file won't be listed when you select
Browse
.

If you're running UltraTax CS through Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS), you can go to files on your local network.
If you want to proforma this attachment next year, mark the
Proforma information to next year
checkbox.
Select
OK
.
Select
View Attachment
to review the PDF file. Repeat steps 2 - 7 to add more attachments.
Select
OK
when you're done.
