E-file an S Corporation parent with QSSS members
Follow these steps to create an electronic file for an S Corporation parent with qualified subchapter S subsidiaries (QSSS).
- Mark theFile this return electronicallyand theSuppress the creation of: Federal electronic file…checkboxes for the S Corporation parent and each QSSS member on the ELF screen in the Electronic Filing folder.noteThis prevents the creation of electronic files for the individual member returns, but lets you create the electronic file for any attached state returns.
- When you create the electronic file, select only the Consolidated S Corporation and not all members as you would for a Consolidated C Corporation.
