Enter Form 3468 credit information
Do the following to enter the credit information for Form 3468 (rehabilitation, geothermal energy, solar energy, and advanced energy project).
- Enter the asset the credit will be taken on in theAssetscreen in the activity folder.
- Select the credit code in theCredit/Amountfield, then select theDepreciationtab. The credit amount will calculate based on the Cost/Basis of the asset and the selected credit code.
- Enter any additional credit details on the3468screens in the same activity the asset was entered in with the following exception. If the asset was entered in theIncome & Deductions,Assetscreen, enter the additional credit details in the3468screens in theCreditsfolder.
note
- To enter Form 3468 credit information on the 3465 screen, enter all credit information in the activity the credit is to be taken on, or in theCreditsfolder if the credit should be entered for the corporation in general.
- The 3468 screen is available in the following activity folders:Income & Deductions,Farm,Farm Rental,Rent & Royalty,K1 1065,1041, andCredits.
- Additional information to be communicated to the shareholders can be entered in the Section B section of theKSepscreen in theSchedule Kfolder, or inView,Shareholder Information,Shareholder, then theOther Infotab.
