Enter the salutation and IRS service center
For 1120 returns, the salutation on the transmittal letter is "Dear" followed by the word "BLANK."
- To use a word other than "Dear," you can change the default in theDocument Editingwindow.
- To print the client's family name or some other variation of the client's name, you can change the salutation for the client in theLetterscreen.
You can use the Letter screen to override the default service center information. (UltraTax CS automatically determines the IRS service center based on the state ZIP Code entered in the general information input screen.) Do the following to change the default salutation and/or the IRS Service Center.
- SelectFile, thenOpen Clientto open the client.
- Go to theGeneralfolder in the folders block.
- Select the tab for theLetterscreen.
- Enter the salutation you want to show in this client's letter in theSalutationfield.
- Select the service center from the dropdown for theIRS Service Centerfield.
