Use the state tabs at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window to enter state-specific apportionment information. State tabs appear only if you have added states to the return and if more apportionment information is needed.
To enter state-specific apportionment information, select the state tab at the bottom of the Apportionment Information window.
Special information for processing Colorado returns
UltraTax CS gives predefined statement windows for factor components needing detail information. UltraTax CS uses the information from the statement windows in the Everywhere column on the form for that component. UltraTax CS ignores amounts from the Everywhere / (Override) column for that component.

General information group box
UltraTax CS uses the information you enter in this group box to complete form fields and answer questions that are not addressed in the Apportionment spreadsheet.
Election to pay tax on Colorado gross sales (C Corp)
This field only applies to C Corporations. Mark this checkbox if electing to pay taxes on Colorado gross sales. UltraTax CS uses the following amounts from the Colorado Sales tab to calculate the Colorado gross sales.
- Destination Sales w/in State/Gross Receipts
- Destination Sales from Outside State
- Origin Sales Shipped to U.S. Government
- Origin Sales Shipped to Non-taxable Juris
Colorado gross sales (C Corp/Force)
This field only applies to C Corporations. UltraTax CS automatically calculates the Colorado gross sales if the
Election to pay tax on Colorado gross sales (C Corp)
checkbox is marked. UltraTax CS uses the following fields from the Colorado Sales tab to calculate Colorado gross sales.- Destination Sales w/in State/Gross Receipts
- Destination Sales from Outside State
- Origin Sales Shipped to U.S. Government
- Origin Sales Shipped to Non-taxable Juris
Use this field to override the calculated amount.
