Import shareholder information from Excel
Before shareholder information can be imported from Excel, you'll need to begin with an Excel spreadsheet that was previously exported from UltraTax CS.
The Excel Import lets you import shareholder information from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to the UltraTax CS/1120Â Shareholder Information window.
- Save the Excel spreadsheet to your computer before importing the spreadsheet into UltraTax CS. This ensures all recent changes will be imported.
- Open the UltraTax CS client for which you want to import shareholder information from Excel.
- SelectUtilitiesthen1120 Excel Import.
- In theLook infield, enter the path to the Excel file location.
- Enter the Excel file name in theFile namefield. The default file name is the same as the client ID.
- In the Information group box, select theShareholder Dataoption.
- SelectImport.noteIf any errors occur during the import process, theShareholder Data Import Error Messageswindow will list the errors encountered. After reviewing the error messages, selectDone, correct the errors, and then re-import the file. SelectPrintin this window to print a list of the errors that occurred.
