E-file California combined returns

If the combined group filing in California is not the same as the consolidated group filing the federal electronic return, you can't e-file California Form 100 or 100W. You'll need to suppress the California electronic file and file Form 100 or 100W on paper.
To file California combined returns electronically on Form 100 or 100W, complete the following steps for
ALL
members of the consolidated group.
  1. Complete the data entry for the member of the consolidated group.
    note
    • For member losses in the CACO screen, enter the member's share of the combined apportionment factor at the bottom of the CAAlloc screen for each applicable year. Each member's share of the combined apportionment factor can be found on the CA Combined Worksheet - Apportionment Formula & Entity Income/(Loss) Assignments in the Comb R1 folder.
