Overview

Use this screen to enter information used to complete Form 4891, Form 4897 and the MI Unitary Business Group Net Operating Loss Carryover Worksheet.
The MIUNOL Screen is a multiple-unit input screen. The first unit of the input screen is always for the designated member responsible for filing the state return on behalf of the unitary business group. A separate unit of the unitary input screens should be added for each member corporation. For each member, a unique unit number is assigned to the input screens in the Unitary folder.

Net Operating Loss Carryover

(Net Operating Loss)
Enter, as a negative number, the member’s portion of net operating loss for each of the preceding periods.
(Acquired Loss)
If business loss was acquired in an IRC 381(a)(1) or (2) transaction, enter the acquired corporation name, FEIN and loss amount in the statement. If the loss was acquired in the current year, enter
X
 in the
Loss Acquired in Current Year
column. The application marks Form 4891, Line 36b and prints the detail statement.
Prior Year NOL Utilized
Enter the net operating loss utilized as a positive number in these boxes for each of the preceding periods in which a loss was utilized.
