General Information

Name and address on original return
If the name and address used on the original return is different from what appears on Form 1120XN, enter it in this field. If it is the same as what appears on Form 1120XN, leave this field blank and the application prints SAME on the form.
IRS Service Center where original return was filed
If the original return was changed or corrected by the IRS, select the IRS office from the dropdown list. The application marks the
Yes
checkbox on the form and fills in the IRS office. If this field is blank, the application marks the
No
checkbox on the form.
Explanation of changes
Use the statement dialog to explain changes made to the previously filed return.

Amounts as Previously Reported

In this section enter amounts, including 0, from the return as previously filed or mark the
Transfer original information
checkbox to instruct the application to do this automatically. The application uses this information to complete Form 1120XN, column (A), As Originally Reported or As Adjusted. The application calculates Form 1120XN, column (C), Correct Amount based on the current tax return data. If a field in this section is blank, the respective amount in column (A) defaults to the amount in column (C).
Transfer original information
Enter X to transfer the previously reported information to the fields in the
Amounts as Previously Reported
data section. Previously reported information is the information contained in the return the last time it was printed or print previewed. Before entering X, verify the information on Form 1120N is the information that was previously reported to the taxing agency.

If amending a state return in addition to the federal return, enter X in the
Transfer original information
field on the state’s amended screen prior to making changes to federal screen data.
