Overview

Use this screen to complete the New Jersey Corporation Annual Report. Business Tax Return. If information transferred from the federal return doesn't require additional data or coding, the application shows it on the form only, not in the input screen.

The New Jersey Corporation Annual Report can only be electronically filed and can't be filed on paper. If not electronically filing the New Jersey Corporation Annual Report, it must be filed through the New Jersey Division of Taxation website at https://www1.state.nj.us/TYTR_COARS/JSP/prepage.jsp.

is entered in this box, no electronic file is generated for the annual report. New Jersey will reject the annual report E-file if the report was previously filed by alternate means.
Report year (Force)
The reporting year defaults to the same reporting year as the corporate return. For fiscal filers filing an annual report for the prior or subsequent period, enter the four digit year in this box.
Payment years, in format 20XX, if other than current year
Enter the payment years to which the annual report fee is applied, if other than the current year. New Jersey Division of Taxation won't accept a current year annual report unless all outstanding prior year annual report fees are included.
Due date of annual report, if other than calculated due date
Enter the due date of the annual report if other than the calculated due date. If blank, the due date of the annual report, the last day of the month authorized in New Jersey, will be the first instance of this date which falls beyond the current fiscal year. To adjust the reporting year of the annual report, use
Report year (Force)
on the NJAR screen.
Principal business address in New Jersey, if different from federal Screen 1120: Address / City, state, zip
Enter the principal place of business in New Jersey if the information differs from the corporation’s main address on the federal 1120 screen. If the corporation doesn't have a principal place of business within New Jersey, the information isn't required. If the company address is entered for a principal place of business without designating the state as New Jersey, the information will be omitted from the annual report.
Officer / director information
Officer information automatically transfers from the federal Inc screen to the statement attached to this box. Enter information with regard to the annual report when the information differs from that entered on the federal Inc screen.
Corporation is changing registered agent or office
Mark this box if the corporation is changing either the registered agent or office.
Agent name / Address / City, state, zip
If the corporation is changing its registered agent, or the name and address of the agent differs from the corporate officer and address information entered on the federal 1120 screen, enter the name and address of the registered agent in these boxes.
Annual report fee, if other than calculated amount
Enter the annual report fee if other than the calculated amounts. The application defaults to calculating the annual report fee at $50, except when a corporation changes its registered agent or office, at which time, the annual report fee is calculated at $75.

Worker's Compensation Insurance Information

Corporation is not required to carry worker’s compensation insurance
Mark this box if the corporation isn't required to carry worker’s compensation insurance and isn't a qualified self-insurer.
Worker’s compensation insurance policy information: Name of insuring company / Policy number
Enter the worker’s compensation insurance policy information for the corporation when it is required to carry a worker’s compensation insurance policy and isn't a qualified self-insurer. This information is a required part of the New Jersey annual report for corporations which aren't qualified self-insurers and are required to carry worker’s compensation insurance.
