CSIUS01 e-file error
Practitioner signer designated, but no "manually signed Form 5500 or 5500-SF under e-signature option for service providers" has been selected under Edit / Electronic File Attachments. A pdf copy of the signed pages 1 and 2 of Form 5500 or 5500-SF with the manual signature of the administrator is required to be attached.
There is a missing PDF attachment.
Solution
Attach a .PDF of the signed 5500 to the return. The attachment title must be "Manually signed Form 5500 or 5500-SF under e-signature option for providers”.
- Open the Edit menu and select Electronic Filing Attachments.
- If you need to add the attachment, select Add. If you already attached the signed .PDF, select Edit.
- For the attachment title, use the drop-down to chooseManually signed Form 5500 or 5500-SF. Do not modify the title or type into theAttachment titlefield.
- Recreate and retransmit the return.
