Calculate Schedule M

In order for Schedule M to fill and calculate correctly, you'll need to enter all the following information into UltraTax CS.

Enter 1
for Married or 4
for Legally separated in the Marial status
field on the

OthInfo

screen. If you enter anything else, Schedule M won't calculate.

Enter S
for Surviving spouse in the Entity type
field for least 1 beneficiary on the

Names

screen in the Beneficiary
folder.

Enter a percent for applicable assets in the Marital share
field in the Schedule M section of the Asset
folder.

You can enter a percent on an asset-by-asset basis, or you can enter 1 in the Calculation of specific marital bequest
field on the

M&O

screen in the Schedule
folder. All assets and deductions will report on Schedule M.
