If a surviving spouse is entered on the

Names

screen in the Beneficiary
folder, and the Marital status
checkbox is marked on the

OthInfo

screen in the General
folder, the Form 706 Part 6-Portability of Deceased Spousal Unused Exclusion (DSUE) will complete automatically.

If you'd like to opt out of the portability election, go to the

OthInfo

screen in the General
folder and mark the Elect not to allow surviving spouse unused exemption
checkbox.
