Enter gift information for Schedule A
The gift information you enter on the
Gift
and/or G529
screen determines how the information displays on Schedule A for each return.- Enter1(donor),2(spouse), or3(joint) in theGiven byfield on theGiftscreen orG529screen. If you leave this field blank, the field defaults to donor. The gift information displays in the upper portion on the Schedule A prepared for the selected party's return.
- To indicate that the donor or spouse contributed half of the gift, enterXin theElect gift splittingfield on the 709 screen.
