CSUS018 and CSUS050 e-file error
- Form 990 CSUS018: If Form 990, Part VI, Line 20 - The Books are in the Care Of is entered: Name, Address, and Telephone no. must have a value. All address data entry must be complete. A valid US address contains Address Line 1, City, State, and Zip Code. A valid Foreign address contains Address Line 1, and Country Code. Additional Note: The zip code must be within the valid range(s) for the state entered.
- Form 990PF CSUS050: If Form 8868 - The Books are in the Care Of is entered: Name, Address, and Telephone No must have a value. All address data entry must be complete. A valid US address contains Address Line 1, City, State, and Zip Code. A valid Foreign address contains Address Line 1, and Country Code. Additional Note: The zip code must be within the valid range(s) for the state entered.
Solution
For either error, fill in the missing
Books in care of
information. - SelectView,Contributor/Officer,Officer informationand locate theBooks in care ofcheckbox.
- If the checkbox is marked, go to the990screen in theGeneralfolder and enter theTelephone number.
- If the checkbox is not marked, go to theOthInfoscreen in theGeneralfolder and open theBooks in care ofstatement. Enter the name, address, and phone number in the statement, and then selectDone.

Additionally check Form 990 part VI line 20 or Form 8868 for overrides, if any overrides are present delete them. You can delete all form overrides by going to
