F990-908-01 e-file error

Database Validation Error: /Return/ReturnData/AffiliateListing/AffiliateListingGrp/EIN: For each entry in the "Affiliate Listing" [AffiliateListing], (Affiliate Listing is attached to Item H(b)), the combination of EIN, Name Control, and GEN (provided in Form 990), must match data in the e-file database. (value XXXXXXXXX, rule F990-908-01)
note
The value represents the EIN of the affiliate the rejection references.
The EIN, Name Control, and/or Business name information doesn't match what the IRS has on file.

Solution

  1. Go to the
    General input
     folder.
  2. Open the
    990
     screen.
  3. Open the Group return for subordinates
    Subordinates included
     statement.
  4. Verify the
    EIN
    ,
    Name Control
    , and
    Business Name
     are entered correctly.
  5. Select
    Done
     to close the statement window.
  6. Open the Group return for subordinates
    Subordinates not included
     statement.
  7. Verify the
    EIN
    ,
    Name Control
    , and
    Business Name
     are entered correctly.
  8. If the EINs and names are not entered correctly in either statement window, enter the correct information and then recreate and resubmit the electronic file.
  9. If all the EINs and names are correct, contact the IRS e-help desk at 866-255-0654 to resolve the error, or file on paper.
